PHOTO OF THE DAY: Bubble Time (Josephine).

Taken April 21, 2012 in Philadelphia, PA.

I made this image in black and white and in color…I chose the color treatment because of lovely muted spring tones.

All the technical stuff aside, who doesn’t love bubbles?

Oh, and thank you to Al, Juanita, Aida and Mike for allowing me to photograph their kiddies.  It’s always a lot of fun.

One thing I like about bubbles is they can make even the hardest adult smile. They harbor a childlike playfulness that we all truly long for in our -sometimes-not-so-interesting-adult-lives. I absolutely adore bubbles and play-doh too!

    1. Hi Keith, thanks for commenting. I agree…bubbles are awesome and have a way of melting the most calloused adult heart. I’m all about finding scenes that convey fun and lightheartedness that offers a balance to all of the not-so-fun aspects of life that we as adults must face.

So sweet! I can never capture those darn bubbles fast enough! Great shot. 🙂

    1. Thanks! If you only knew what I had to go through to get the shot. She was being a typical 3-year-old and trying to blow bubbles directly on my lens! 🙂
