Flying Kite’s On the Ground presents Transformation. Northwest Philadelphia. This exhibition is being presented through Flying Kite’s On the Ground program. ON THE GROUND is a pilot initiative of Flying Kite that creates a temporary media hub in a vacant or under-utilized storefront or building and takes a deep dive on neighborhood transformation through news coverage, events and social media. After 90 days, it’s on to the next neighborhood. As part of Flying Kite’s On the Ground program, they are showcasing the artists connected to Germantown, Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill.  The goal is to help Flying Kite transform its empty storefront and breathe some life into it. Furthermore, their hope is to bring together Northwest Philadelphia artists and residents to celebrate creativity and innovation, which can serve as a catalyst for business and cultural development along Germantown’s corridors.FEATURED ARTISTS INCLUDE:Tieshka Smith, photography.  (Click here to see the images that will be a part of the art exhibit!)
