The Evolution of The Other Germantown Project.

It began as a photography project, 2 1/2 years ago,  couched in (relative) solitude.  Kinda like this.

Then there was a show.  A solo show.  80 images.  Three weeks.  Summer of 2013.

Now, there’s the blog.  Check it out if you have a chance, and follow it if you’re on Tumblr!  Since I launched it, I’ve created over 50 posts.  They include photography from the exhibit, new work, commentary and a new feature called “Five Questions.”  The inaugural “Five Questions” post  delved into the “Eyes of the Community” public art project by artist and fellow Germantowner Jill Saull.  I’m excited because I’ll be featuring a number of people who are doing really amazing work around social justice issues.

This thing has legs and I’m glad because I am happy to help kickstart new conversations about race, class, placemaking, food insecurity and all kinds of other topics that have relevance to those of us who live and/or work here in Historic Germantown.

If you have questions, suggestions, comments or criticisms regarding this project, feel free to drop a note here or here.

Thank you for your continued support, and wishing you peace and blessings.
